2025 Membership Dues

Please review the LAHA 2025 membership form. We raised the dues to 35.00 to cover increasing expenses mostly due to the goose nest and egg program. This is the first increase since LAHA was created.

We will be meeting on Wednesday, June 19.  Social starts at 6 pm and meeting starts at 7 pm.  The location is Lakeshore Park at the north shelter.  601 South Lake Dr., Novi.

Food, water, and lemonade will be provided.  Alcohol is allowed at this park--no glass containers.

We need your continued support.  If you have not yet renewed, please do so.  (Before the meeting, if possible, to streamline the sign-in process.)

Summer at last!

Our next regular social and meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 22, 2022.  The social starts at 6 p and the meeting at 7 p.  It will be at Lakeshore Park, Shelter 1 (north).  The park address is 601 S. Lake Dr., Novi, 48375.

Food, pop, and water will be provided.

Please RSVP to Beth Adams by June 15th to ensure enough food and beverages.

Also, the WLCF Fireworks are scheduled for June 25th.  We will be inviting police officers to discuss their patrolling.  And any other concerns.

We are looking forward to seeing you all.  Feel free to invite neighbors and friends with deeded access to Shawood or Walled Lake to join our membership.

Renewal memberships would be appreciated before the meeting and to help expedite the sign-in at the meeting.  Although, we will certainly welcome it.  A membership form is here.  The fee of $25 made payable to:  LAHA, PO Box 12, Walled Lake, 48390 and please include the form.

Our annual membership fee of $25 is due.  Checks can be made payable to L.A.H.A., and mailed to P.O. Box 12, Walled Lake, MI  48390.  A membership form is at this link to include with your payment.  Please pass along to neighbors and friends on Walled Lake or Shawood Lake with deeded access that are not currently members.

Also, we will not be holding our February due to the current pandemic situation.

However, mark your calendars for the June meeting.  Once again, we have reserved the front shelter at Lakeshore Park for June 22, 2022, from 4 pm to 9pm.  More details will follow as the meeting gets closer.

Sorry for the late notice--due to the continuing pandemic, we will not be having our October meeting.  With the large size of our group and serving food buffet style, we do not think it is feasible to meet in a small indoor space.

February Membership Meeting

Dear Members,

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2020.  Social at 6 pm and meeting at 7 pm.  It will be held at:

257 Ladd Rd., Walled Lake

Food included; cash bar.

Please RSVP by:  Wednesday, February 12.  We need to have enough seats and food.

Special Note:  For Dave Galloway, Chairperson, Walled Lake Improvement Board, we will be paying special tribute to him for his dedication to us and the lake for being our Riparian Representative.  He is retiring and a replacement is to be selected at their next meeting.  (Note:  There will be NO bowling from 6-9)

Idea exchange for Lakeshore Park

Community meeting slated for 9am on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Novi Civic Center

In early October, the Novi City Council asked staff to revisit the scope of the Lakeshore Park enhancement project and meet with the community for a further exchange of ideas.

That meeting will take place at 9am on Saturday, December 2 at the Novi Civic Center.

Residents are encouraged to come share their thoughts with City leaders, who will talk about the vision of the park proposal and how we can work together to improve Lakeshore Park for all of Novi.
